New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the seventh Edition of the India Mobile Congress, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The honorable Prime Minister engaged in fruitful discussions with representatives from prominent telecommunication companies, including Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. During this encounter, Ambani elaborated on the remarkable strides his company has taken in the field of telecommunications. Notably, he introduced Reliance Jio's groundbreaking initiative, Space Fibre, designed to achieve lightning-fast speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Additionally, the Jio pavilion at the event showcased the innovative Jio Bharat device, providing 4G services.

Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairperson of Bharti Enterprises, also had an opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister. At the Mobile Congress, Bharti Enterprises is highlighting what it envisions as the future of innovation, featuring cutting-edge technologies such as 5G Plus, AI-enabled advancements, and various digital infrastructure solutions.

Furthermore, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited showcased India's pioneering satellite-based giga fibre service, known as 'JioSpaceFiber.' This groundbreaking service aims to deliver high-speed broadband connectivity to previously unreachable regions within India. Jio also offered a glimpse of its latest satellite broadband technology.

In a remarkable gesture, PM Modi is set to bestow awards upon 100 '5G Use Case Labs' established in educational institutions across India, as part of the '100 5G Labs initiative,' a significant step towards promoting innovation and technological advancement in the country.
