Bihar court sentenced 17 convicts for violating corona lockdown

Patna: The 17 convicts who broke the lockdown during the Corona epidemic crisis have been sentenced by the court. For the first time in Bihar, the court has sentenced in the case of lockdown violation. The case is in the month of April. A case was registered in Patna on 13 April 2020. 10 mosques from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and 7 from Kyrgyzstan from Phulwari Sharif were arrested from a mosque in Kurji area.

While giving the verdict in this case, the Patna Civil Court sentenced all 17 tabloids to prison till date. Patna Civil Court Special Judge Madhavi Singh sentenced all the accused to imprisonment from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm along with imprisonment of 2500-2500. All these accused confessed to the crime before the court after which the sentence was pronounced.

During the time when the corona was spreading in the country, the lockdown was imposed and during the lockdown, the people of Kurji area of Patna informed the police about the stay of the tabloids in a mosque after which they were arrested. At that time, the arrest of the Tablighis made headlines and now the first sentence in the lockdown violation case in Bihar has also been given to the Tablighis.
