Patna: The Congress has released the second list of candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. In this, Brajesh Pandey, brother of journalist Ravish Kumar, has been made a candidate. The Congress has given him a ticket from Govindganj in Motihari. Social media users have attacked the Congress for giving tickets to Brajesh Pandey due to his alleged criminal history.

Writer Shefali Vaidya has said how shameful it is that the Congress likes people like Brajesh Pandey. Questioning journalist Ravish Kumar, he has said that 'there is no fear now?' He has also retweeted another with her tweet. In it, a social media user named Ankur Singh wrote that 'Ravish Kumar's brother and Congress leader Brajesh Pandey and his friend Nikhil were accused of raping a minor Dalit girl.' The tweet said that the rape victim was forced to marry Nikhil to settle the case later. After being photographed in Hathras, Rahul Gandhi has given the ticket to Brijesh Pandey.

Brajesh Pandey has also been the Vice President of the state unit of Bihar Congress. However, in 2017, after being named in the rape case, Congress avoided him. But now Congress has given him a ticket in the second list of candidates. Here, social media users are also targeting Congress on giving ticket to Ravish Kumar's brother.
