Banka: An incident of burning of a young woman has come to light in Banka, Bihar. A minor girl was burnt alive by two youths from a village in the Dhankund Sahayak police station area of the Dhoraiya block area of Banka. The girl has been badly burnt by the fire. After 12 days, this incident has come to light. According to a statement made by the victim to the Dhankund police station police, Luv Kumar Singh and Suman Singh of the village have carried out the incident.

The girl said in her written application that on November 1 on the phone of her house, the accused Luv Kumar and Suman Singh called her outside the house and tried to meet her. Both the criminals threatened to kill the girl along with her relatives when the girl refused. The next day, when the girl's father went to worship at the Dhankund temple in the morning and the other members of the house were sleeping in another room, the accused entered the girl's room through the back door of the house. Seeing the young woman alone, she set her body on fire.

The same girl started shouting when the fire broke out after which the two accused fled the spot. Then, in an injured condition, her family took her to Bhagalpur for treatment. Abhinandan Kumar Singh said that the police are investigating the case by filing a case on the statement of the victim. No arrests have been made in the case so far. The matter is under investigation.
