On Monday night, a journalist from Tinsukia, Assam, allegedly shot himself in the head at his house.
Bikash Moran, a top journalist working in Upper Assam, was identified as the bureau chief of a satellite news station. According to reports, Moran shot himself "twice" with his revolver inside his room on Monday night about 11 p.m.
His mother, wife, and three children have been left behind. However, his relatives and friends believe there was foul play involved in the incident. The police have started an investigation, and the gun he reportedly used to kill himself has been recovered. Moran was a senior journalist in Assam and has worked in a number of major news organizations in the state.
