Kolkata: Eight people were burnt alive in violence that broke out in West Bengal's Birbhum district following the murder of a Trinamool Congress leader. Yes and now the Calcutta High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the incident and the matter will be heard by a bench of the Chief Justice at 2 pm today. Let us also tell all of you that in the Birbhum district of West Bengal, TMC panchayat leader Bhadu Sheikh was attacked with a bomb by 4 miscreants. Yes, and he died later in this incident. After this, a group of TMC leaders started carrying out violence in the area.

In such a situation, they set fire to many houses on the basis of suspicion, due to which 8 people were burnt alive in the same house. After that, in view of the heavy tension here, a large number of additional police forces have been deployed at the spot. On the other hand, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has expressed regret over the incident in the Birbhum district and targeted the Mamata Banerjee government. In fact, Jagdeep Dhankhar wrote on Twitter, "The incident of horrific violence and arson indicates that the state is in the hands of a culture of violence and jungle reign. So far, eight people have lost their lives. I have sought a report from the Chief Secretary in this regard. I am deeply anguished by this incident. My thoughts are with the families of the victims.''

In this entire matter, the MHA also directed the state administration to maintain the law and order situation in Bengal and provide security to the common people of the area. In fact, state government officials said that the local police in Rampurhat have arrested 11 accused, while the inspector and the sub-divisional police officer have been suspended after the incident. He also said that three injured people were rescued on Monday night when eight houses were gutted in the fire.
