Lucknow: In the famous Siana violence case that took place in Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh in 2018, the local court has ordered the imposition of section 124A of sedition on all the 36 accused. Two people including a police officer were killed in this incident. Let us tell you, on December 3, 2018, Bajrang Dal protested by blocking the road on 3 December 2018 outside Chingrawati village under the Siana police station area of ​​Bulandshahr. When this demonstration became furious, along with the incident of arson, the then station in-charge Subodh Singh was shot dead. Sumit, a youth of the area, also lost his life in the case.

The police had filed two reports in connection with the case. The first report was related to inciting the mob to violence and damage to government property. He then filed a case against 27 people including Yogesh Raj of Bajrang Dal and about 60 unknown people. The same, second report was filed against those involved in cow slaughter. Yogesh Raj was granted bail by the Allahabad High Court in September 2019, which was opposed by the slain police officer's wife Rajni in the Supreme Court.

According to media reports, he won the election of District Panchayat member from ward number 5 in May 2020. In January this year, he surrendered in the court of Additional District Judge after Yogendra Yadav's bail was rejected in the apex court. In June 2019, the government ordered the police to include sedition charges against the accused. Now the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge has allowed the police to register a case against the accused under Section 124A (sedition) of IPC.
