Chetan Sharma was born on 3 January 1966 in Ludhiana. He made his debut in international cricket at the age of only 18 and gave India a major victory. Chetan was also the hero of India's victory in England in 1986, who took 10 wickets in Edgbaston Test. A year later, he took a hat-trick in the World Cup in India and became the first bowler in the world to do so.

Chetan Sharma has also scored a century in one-day cricket. He is one of the selected cricketers in the world, who has also scored a century in one-day cricket and has also taken a hat-trick. Chetan Sharma, despite being a small bowler, used to bowl at a fast pace. He was a successful partner of Kapil Dev for five years.
