New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced its new national executive just before the proposed assembly elections in five states next year. With this, party chief JP Nadda has convened an important meeting of party leaders on October 18. It directs all national functionaries, all executive members, state presidents and general secretaries to be present. The meeting will brainstorm on the functioning of the organization as well as the upcoming assembly elections.

The meeting will also discuss the party's strategy for the upcoming elections. The meeting will be held at 10 am at BJP headquarters. It will discuss all issues of all electoral states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. Party chief JP Nadda announced the party's national working committee on Thursday. 80 leaders including PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, senior leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi have been made members.

According to a release issued by BJP General Secretary Arun Singh, the Working Committee will also have 50 Special Invitees and 179 Permanent Invitees (Ex-Officio). These include CM, Deputy CM, Legislature Party Leader, Former Deputy Chief Minister, National Spokesperson, National Front President, State In-charge, Co-in-charge, State President, State General Secretary Organization and Organiser.
