New Delhi: This time the festival of Chhath Puja is going to be celebrated on 20 November. This festival is a festival lasting for three days but this time this festival has been asked to be celebrated in homes. Delhi has also banned the organization of Chhath Puja at public places, which the BJP has not supported. Recently, the BJP has targeted the Delhi government for not ordering Chhath Puja as a Tughlaqi decree.
Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta said, "Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has issued a Tughlaqi decree banning Mahaparva like Chhath Puja in Delhi. Not only that, those who go to worship will also be fined thousands. There is another proof of the Delhi government's failure." He also said, "Delhi government is constantly playing with the religious sentiments of the people. By banning Chhath Puja, Arvind Kejriwal Ji hurt the faith of millions of our brothers and sisters living in Delhi. By doing this, he will be cursed by Chhath Mata "
The Delhi Pradesh BJP president said, "Whether Chhath Puja, Ramlila, or firecrackers, the Delhi government has acted with carelessness on every issue. If the Chief Minister had taken steps against Covid, then today it is a festive time in Delhi. I would have been celebrating it. I appeal to him to immediately lift the ban on the worship of Chhath Mata. " The BJP leader said, “The Chief Minister opened all the markets, opened the factories, also increased the capacity of DTC buses to 100%. No action was taken to fight Covid-19 but definitely opened up the whole of Delhi. It is religiously wrong to ban festivals alone. "
The Corona in Delhi is continuously increasing, due to this, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has ordered that Chhath Puja will not be organized in public places this year. Devotees will be able to celebrate Chhath festival in their homes or at any private place.
