Kolkata: West Bengal's Mamta government is known for its strict handling of political opponents. The confrontation between the Mamata government and opponents has increased after the BJP's rise in Bengal. A Congress leader strongly criticized the current Mamata Banerjee government. Due to which he was arrested. The BJP has extended its hand to help the family members of the Congress leader. The state BJP delegation met the kin of Congress leader Samanay Bandyopadhyay.

Assured to help the family when needed. Meanwhile, the BJP accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of running terror rule in Bengal. There is an undeclared emergency in the state. Samanay has been arrested on social media for posting posts condemning the Bengal government. Samanay is the spokesperson of the Pradesh Congress. He was arrested by Purulia District Police on Thursday evening from his residence at Sodpur in North 24 Parganas district.

On Friday, he was sent to police custody for two days on his appearance in court. In this regard, state vice-president of BJP Jayaprakash Mazumdar said - 'It is unfortunate that a person was arrested just because of the criticism of the state government. This used to happen in an emergency. This shows that there is an undeclared emergency in Bengal. Congress leader in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, strongly condemned the arrest of the state government.
