Begusarai: After reports of electoral violence in West Bengal and Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, a similar case has now emerged from Bihar. News about the killing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) panchayat chief in Begusarai Jail of Bihar Gopal Singh, a resident of Amor Kiratpur village in Singhahole area of the district, was killed on Thursday night.

It is being said that unknown people killed BJP leader by striking the head with an iron rod last night. The police said in the matter, "This is murder, the matter is being investigated right now."

It is notable that a few days ago, news of the murder of BJP worker and former Prime Minister Surendra Singh from Amethi was also reported. At the same time, in Kumbhi village of Begusarai district of Bihar, one person stopped him and asked him his name and religion. After finding out that the person is from a Muslim community, he was asked to go to Pakistan and after that he was shot and killed.

While talking about the matter on Monday, Chariya Bariyarpur Police station of Begusarai, Neeraj Kumar Singh, said that this incident happened in Kumbhi village on Sunday with 30-year-old Mohammed Qasim, a ferryman. He identified the accused as Rajiv Yadav. Qasim does a small business of selling detergents for running a livelihood and he is undergoing treatment in a hospital. In a video viral on social media, Kasim has been shown praising him.
