Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi once again became a minister in Modi cabinet. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was born on October 15, 1957 in village Bhadari, Allahabad. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, contesting from the Muslim community, who has often taken distance from the BJP, has contested two assembly elections (1991, 1993) and three Lok Sabha (1998, 1999, 2009) as the BJP candidate. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was elected BJP's first Muslim Lok Sabha MP from Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) in 1998. In addition, Naqvi was elected Rajya Sabha member in 2002, 2010 and 2016.
