Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran Rahul Sinha on Thursday (October 27) alleged that all the rapists in West Bengal belong to the Trinamool Congress (TMC). After this statement of Rahul Sinha, a war of words started between TMC and BJP. Questioning the safety of women in West Bengal during the 'Bhai Dooj' celebrations at the BJP office in Kolkata, Sinha alleged that rape cases have increased in the state with the support of the CM (Mamata Banerjee).

BJP leader Rahul Sinha further said that in the case of violence against women, a woman Chief Minister has brought the state to the first rank in the country. CM Mamta Banerjee said that rape is a minor incident. She wants to solve rape cases with money. Will rape cases increase or decrease? One hundred per cent rapists in the state are from Trinamool and no one from any other party. 

During the Bhai Dooj program, Rahul Sinha said that right now women in Bengal need strong brothers because the state is at the top in terms of exploitation of women. On the other hand, taking a jibe at Rahul Sinha, West Bengal Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya has said, 'I wish all the best to the opposition parties who defame TMC. As a sister, I wish the people of the opposition party a long and healthy life. I hope that even if they disrespect us, they will prosper.'
