Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the ongoing Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers of all states in the Faridabad district of Haryana through video conferencing. Today is the last day of the two-day Chintan Shivir at Surajkund in Faridabad i.e. Friday (October 28). During this, PM Modi said that every state should learn from each other. This is very important for better coordination. This is also the basic spirit of the Constitution.

Addressing the Chintan Shivir virtually, PM Modi said that when the strength of the country increases, the strength of every citizen of the country will also increase. That is good governance. States have a very important role to play in this. PM Modi further said, 'Law and order is the responsibility of the states in the Constitution, but they are equally connected with the unity and integrity of the country. Every single state learns from each other, take inspiration from each other.'

During this, PM Narendra Modi said that one should consider bringing 'One Nation, One Uniform' for the police of all states. He said that this process may take time, maybe it will take 5, 50 or 100 years, but we should consider it. PM Narendra Modi said that it should not be imposed, but it should be considered.

PM Modi said that 'Sometimes central agencies have to investigate in many states simultaneously, sometimes they have to go to other countries also, so it is the responsibility of each state that whether it is a state agency, whether it is a central agency, all agencies should give full cooperation to each other.' He said that everyone should work for the betterment of the country, this is also the spirit of the Constitution and it is our responsibility towards the countrymen.
