New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra has made several serious revelations about the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. Addressing the press conference on Monday, BJP leader Sambit Patra said that "Today we are presenting an important topic in front of you today, whenever we talk about corruption, the name of Congress and Gandhi family arouses".

Sambit Patra further said, "You know about the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF), JP Nadda had revealed, how corruption happened there. Mehul Choksi gave money to the foundation, today we are disclosing its connection. There is a company named Geetanjali named after Mehul Choksi, its another company is Naviraj, which gave 10 lakh rupees, Naviraj is the company of Mehul's son". Sambit Patra said, "Rana Kapoor was the chief of Yes Bank (now in jail) who bought the painting from Priyanka Gandhi for 2 crores. On 14 September 2016, Rana Kapoor gave 9 lakh rupees to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. This money was sent from Yes bank account and taken by kickback.

Sambit Patra further said "Jignesh Shah did corruption in 2013, its case is under trial, he gave 50 lakhs to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. A company named Geetanjali sends Rs 47.78 crore to the Naviraj State Company, later it is given to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation". Sambit Patra said, "Zakir Naik's foundation has donated 50 lakh rupees to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. Later the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation donated money to Zakir Naik's Foundation".
