The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 62 constituencies, followed by the Samajwadi Party on 28 seats, according to preliminary results from the counting of votes for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Aditi Singh, the BJP's Rae Bareli candidate, is topping the early polls. At 9.25 am, the BJP's Alka Singh was leading the Bahujan Samaj Party's Abdul Mannan by 1,358 votes in the Sandila seat, according to Election Commission of India data. On the Tindwari seat, Ramkesh Nishad of the BJP is leading Brajesh Kumar Prajapati of the Samajwadi Party by 2,299 votes. Anil Kumar of the BJP is leading Mu Rafik of the BSP by 2,597 votes in the Shikarpur seat, while Pankaj Singh of the BJP is leading Sunil Choudhary of the SP by 3,074 votes in the Noida seat.

Meanwhile, on the Nehtaur constituency, the BJP's Om Kumar is ahead by 1,232 votes over the Rashtriya Lok Dal's Munshiram. With a margin of 2,100 votes, the BJP's Ramratan Kushwaha leads the SP's Ramesh Prasad in Lalitpur.

According to official data as of 9.20 a.m., the BJP's Jai Pratap Singh is leading the SP's Naveen in the Bansi seat by 723 votes.  The Samajwadi Party, on the other hand, is ahead in four seats: Behat, Najibabad, Chandpur, and Pilibhit.
