Patna: India's neighbor Afghanistan is experiencing its penance after the Taliban came to power. While SP MP Shafiqur Rahman has backed the Taliban and created controversy, the ruling BJP too did not take long to hit the fortification.

BJP MLA from Bihar Haribhushan Thakur has clarified that there has been an unprovoked attempt to create an atmosphere of fear in the country after Narendra Modi became PM. He took such people to task and said that they should now go to Afghanistan. The Taliban have reached Kabul and taken over the reins of the country ever since President Ashraf Ghani fled the country from Afghanistan. After which many countries including India, USA have expressed concern. Political rhetoric about the Taliban regime has also intensified.

SP MP from Uttar Pradesh Shafiqur Rahman Burke had made a controversial statement saying that the Taliban should be supported as it has achieved independence in a way by removing the US. He did not stop there but said that India had also gained independence by driving away from the British. A case has been registered against Burq over his statement. Even then, the Taliban's support and opposition have not stopped the rhetoric.
