It is written in the letter that "You tell our freedom fighter Tipu Sultan a Muslims goon. You need cement bricks to build a college in Haveri's Byadgi taluk, but you don't want Muslims. In the threatening letter sent to Eshwarappa, it is said that you should be ashamed of yourself. If Tipu Sultan is now called a 'Muslim goon,' their tongue will be cut off. Be careful.

Karnataka HC did not consider Tipu Sultan as a freedom fighter:
