New Delhi: The process of election of 55 vacant seats of Rajya Sabha has started. Many parties have announced their candidates, but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not announced the names yet. There will be a meeting of the Central Election Committee tomorrow to discuss the names of the candidates at 6 pm tomorrow. In this meeting, candidates can be announced for 16 seats.

BJP will field candidates in three Rajya Sabha seats in Haryana

The meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee will be attended by PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Thawarchand Gehlot, and BJP Organization Minister BL Santosh. The tenure of members in 55 seats of 17 states in Rajya Sabha is ending on different dates in the month of April.

7 of Maharashtra, 4 of Odisha, 6 of Tamil Nadu, 5 of West Bengal, 4 of Andhra Pradesh, 2 of Telangana, 3 of Assam, 5 of Bihar, 2 of Chhattisgarh, 4 of Gujarat, 2 of Haryana, Polling will be held for 1 Himachal Pradesh, 2 in Jharkhand, 3 in Madhya Pradesh, 1 in Manipur, 3 in Rajasthan and one Rajya Sabha seat in Meghalaya. All the parties are putting their full strength for these seats.
