New Delhi: In view of the elections going to be held for 56 Rajya Sabha seats on 26 March, BJP has released the second list of five candidates on Thursday. Out of these, 2 candidates each from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have been declared. In fact, the Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the second list of party candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections and the name for the by-election of a Vidhan Sabha seat in Maharashtra.

In the second list, the names of Ramchandra Jhangra and Dushyant Kumar Gautam from Haryana have been decided for Rajya Sabha. Similarly, the party has nominated Indu Goswami from Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Dr. Sumer Singh Solanki from Madhya Pradesh and Dr. Bhagwat Karad from Maharashtra. Along with this, BJP has announced Amrish Bhai Rasiklal Patel as a candidate for a by-election in Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released a list of candidates for a total of 11 Rajya Sabha seats. Jyotiraditya Scindia, who joined the BJP from the Congress, has been made the Rajya Sabha candidate from Madhya Pradesh. The BJP has fielded candidates for nine seats out of a total of 11, and has given a chance to allies in two seats.
