New Delhi: Today marks a significant milestone in India's democratic journey as Narendra Modi is poised to assume the Prime Minister's office for the third consecutive time. Following in the footsteps of Jawaharlal Nehru, he will achieve a rare hat-trick in Indian politics. The swearing-in ceremony for Modi 3.0 is scheduled for 7:15 pm, with the participation of numerous foreign dignitaries.

Preparations are underway for the formation of the new cabinet, with calls already reaching potential ministers for their oath-taking. Key ministries such as Home, Defense, Finance, and Foreign Affairs, integral to the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), will remain under BJP's control, as they were in the previous terms. Notable former Union Ministers summoned include Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnav, Mansukh Mandaviya, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Nitin Gadkari, and Jitendra Singh.

While the allocation of ministries progresses, the selection of the Lok Sabha Speaker remains undecided. Previous speakers, Sumitra Mahajan and Om Birla, were from BJP, but the decision is being watched closely by the allies.

Before the official ceremony, Narendra Modi will convene with the new Council of Ministers at his residence on 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. Security measures are stringent, with a comprehensive security perimeter around Delhi and the Rashtrapati Bhavan during the oath-taking event.

To ensure safety, the New Delhi area will be designated a no-fly zone for two days, with extensive deployment of security personnel including Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, NSG, SPG, and Intelligence Wing officials. Guests are expected to arrive at the Rashtrapati Bhavan from 5 pm, and the swearing-in ceremony will commence at 7:15.
