New Delhi: The BJP is all set to lock up the organisation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the proposed assembly elections in nearly a dozen states before that. Several major organisational changes are expected to take place in the BJP soon. Among them, the party has to appoint new presidents in UP and Tripura. Along with this, new organization in-charges are also to be appointed in Bihar and Gujarat. Some more states may also have changes at the organizational level.

The BJP leadership has started shaping its organisational preparations for 'Mission-2024' after the national executive meeting in Hyderabad. BJP chief JP Nadda's first term ends in January next year. However, it is not yet clear whether the organisational elections will be held before this or whether the expansion will be provided to the current leadership in view of the upcoming elections. JP Nadda is more likely to get an extension of his tenure.   According to sources, this month, the BJP is likely to appoint new presidents and new organisation in-charges in some states. In Uttar Pradesh, the post of Chairman is lying vacant after Swatantra Dev Singh became a minister. In Tripura, even after Manik Saha became CM, there has been no new president. In view of the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, organisational changes have also been projected in Bihar and Delhi.

The post of in-charge of Gujarat and Bihar is still lying vacant after Bhupendra Yadav became the Union Minister among the party's in-charges. However, there are co in-charges working there. Full-time organisation in-charges will be appointed in both states soon. In West Bengal also, general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya is to be replaced by a new organisation in-charge. Let me tell you that after the assembly elections, Vijayvargiya has not visited West Bengal even once. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, there may be a change in the in-charges in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab also. Radha Mohan Singh is currently holding the post of organisation in-charge of Uttar Pradesh and Dushyant Gautam as Punjab.
