Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Shivpal Yadav has expressed his displeasure towards Akhilesh, saying he is feeling neglected in the party. Due to the neglect of party president Akhilesh Yadav, he will soon activate his Pragatisheel Samaj Party (PSP) organisation across the state and contest the mayoral and civic body elections in UP. Shivpal Yadav was speaking to reporters at the residence of SP national general secretary Chakrapani Yadav in Shastri Nagar on Wednesday.

Shivpal Yadav said that before the assembly elections, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had come to the house to convince him and at the same time he had prepared to fight the elections and give respect in the future. He came to Akhilesh's dialogue and entered the fray on an SP ticket. But after the election, he is being neglected again in the party. He is not invited to any party meeting. Shivpal said that he was not even made a star campaigner in the by-elections to Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituencies. After Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), he (Shivpal) is the senior-most and oldest leader in the party. Shivpal claimed that if he had been made a star campaigner, Azamgarh's seat would have been with SP.

Shivpal Yadav said that the SP chief has not yet spoken to him about his support in the presidential election. That is why he has decided to support NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu in the presidential election. In response to a question, he said he would re-activate his organisation in the country and the state within two months. In this year's upcoming municipal body elections in UP, candidates will be fielded in the elections for mayors, councillors and members in all places.
