Puri: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will demonstrate once more in Bhubaneswar today in response to the mysterious death of BJD Zilla Parishad Member Dharmendra Sahoo of the Gop on Sunday at a relative's home in Laxmi Vihar.
To demand an unbiased investigation into the event in which, the party claimed, Nimapara MLA and School and Mass Education Samir Ranjan Dash are engaged, BJP members would hold a "Rasta Roko" (Road blockade) at Dolamandap Chhak.
The party renewed its demand that Minister Dash be removed from the Ministerial Council. It had earlier organised a protest to make its demands known.
Notably, Sahoo's post-mortem report, which was released yesterday, claimed that Sahoo had died from asphyxiation brought on by hanging. His recent Facebook post suggested that he was depressed and had taken drastic measures as a result of a family disagreement.
The 48-year-old ran for the Puri district's Zilla Parishad Zone-11 seat in the Gop block.
The two deceased's mobile phones that were owned by the police have also been transferred for forensic analysis. The two cell phones were found close to the residence where Sahoo is thought to have hanged himself.
