New Delhi: The deal between election strategist Prashant Kishor and the Congress party could not go through. Different claims are being made from both the sides. Meanwhile, BJP leaders have ridiculed the country's oldest party, the Congress and its attempt to save itself, ahead of the general elections. BJP leaders have accused Prashant Kishor of trying to sell the party by calling him a 'salesman' and a 'vendor'.

While talking to the media, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla made fun of the Congress party's failed attempt to get Prashant Kishor to join. He said, 'If the product is bad, then no matter how good the seller is or is claiming to be, you cannot sell a product of familyism (dynastic politics) before its expiry date.' He said the party's agenda is 'save family, save party' and that is why he was concerned with Prashant Kishor's suggestions on transformative and structural reforms within the party.

BJP spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan claimed that the media has made Prashant Kishor a "celebrity". He said that, 'Political parties use vendors during elections and he is a seller. You can see their track record. They have lost in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and elsewhere. The biggest question here is, is there a lack of leadership in the Congress? Which party has to bring people from outside?' Let us inform that on Tuesday, the Congress had told that Prashant Kishor has rejected his offer to join the party. The statement put to rest speculations about the possible entry of the election strategist in the Congress.
