Kolkata: While the news of rivalry between the opponents in the politics of West Bengal continues to be seen, on the other hand, leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have presented an example of brotherhood. In fact TMC MLA Sabyasachi Dutta organized Ganesh Puja in the Salt Lake area and invited BJP state presidents Dilip Ghosh, Mukul Roy and Arvind Menon as the chief guests.

Along with these big three BJP leaders, Datta also worshiped Ganapati. Significantly, Trinamool MLA Sabyasachi Dutta is considered very close to Mukul Roy. Dutta resigned as Bidhannagar mayor last month. Mukul Roy was also once considered the second most prominent leader of TMC after Mamata Banerjee.

He was also the Railway Minister in the UPA-2 government at the Center, but due to differences with Mamata Banerjee, he resigned from the Rajya Sabha and joined the BJP in 2017. Now the reason for the veteran BJP leaders including Mukul Roy to participate in the program of Sabyasachi Dutta is that the MLA from Rajarhat-New Town area may join the BJP in the near future.
