Itanagar: In Arunachal Pradesh, where by-elections are set for the next week, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won 102 out of 130 panchayat seats unopposed.

On July 12, by-elections were to be held for a Zila Parishad seat and 130 Gram Panchayat seats. The BJP won 102 of the 130 Gram Panchayat seats without facing any opposition, while the Congress, National People's Party (NPP), and independent candidates won the other 14 seats.

Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, praised everyone for voting for 102 BJP candidates in bye-elections without facing any opposition.

Congratulations and gratitude to all karyakartas, fans, and sympathisers for electing 102 @BJP4Arunachal candidates to 130 Gram Panchayat Constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh in bye-elections without facing any opposition, Khandu said.

The people of Arunachal Pradesh have complete faith in the Chief Minister's leadership and his persistent efforts to meet their needs, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said.
