New Delhi: Before the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024, the BJP is trying to unite all the Dalits by threading them in the thread of nationalism. It is reported that the Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha of the BJP is planning to reach out to Dalits in large numbers on the birthday of PM Narendra Modi. The SC Morcha of the BJP will conduct "Sampark Abhiyan" in 75,000 Dalit settlements across the country from PM Modi's birthday on September 17 to Constitution Day on November 26.
Talking to the media, BJP SC Morcha National President Lal Singh Arya has told that, 'This contact campaign will cover 75,000 habitations. During these 70 days, girls and boys will also be contacted in 7,500 hostels. They will be informed about welfare schemes for the SC community.' Lal Singh further said that the members of the SC Morcha will interact with the people in the villages. He said that a special team of 5 people would be formed to resolve the issues of the people. Arya further said, 'These teams will ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the people. Simultaneously, his task will be to expand the support base of the party. They will try to clear misconceptions about the party. He said that the vote share of the BJP from the SC community has increased a lot.'
He further said that, in UP, BJP got 13 per cent more Jadav votes than last time. In West Bengal, the BJP has got around 16 to 17 per cent SC votes. The BJP government's welfare scheme for the poor has resulted in an increase in vote share. Arya has said that the SC vote is coming to BJP's court even by giving importance to the places associated with Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Along with this, policies like a declaration of holiday on Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, a cleanliness campaign and welfare schemes are the reasons for attracting the scheduled caste community to the BJP, he said. He said that SC Morcha is also working relentlessly for the upliftment of the community.
