New Delhi:On Monday, After BJP released its manifesto for upcoming election, opposition parties slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on promises it made in its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections. While Congress called BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' a 'Jumla Manifesto', the National Conference and BJP ally in Bihar, Janata Dal (United), hit out at the ruling for its stand on Article 370 that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir and Article 35A.

Here it is to be noted that Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel said the BJP's manifesto talks about just one man, an apparent dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "The difference between BJP manifesto and Congress manifesto can be seen firstly from the cover page. Our's has a crowd of people, and BJP manifesto has face of just one man (sic)," Patel tweeted. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the BJP manifesto has nothing for jobs and employment. BJP Manifesto For 2019 Lok Sabha Elections Full Text.

To be noted that National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah blasted the BJP for its poll promises on Article 370 and 35A. "Recently J&K Governor claimed there was no threat to Art 370 & 35-A and that parties like mine were only using them to drum up fear in the elections. I hope his colleagues in the BJP send him a copy of their manifesto," he wrote on Twitter. On Article 370 and Uniform Civil Code, BJP's ally JD(U) reportedly objected to promises made by the BJP in its manifesto. The BJP said that it was committed to abolishing Article 370 and also bring in the Uniform Civil Code.

However, it is to be noted that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal called the BJP manifesto "a fresh set of jumlas". "BJP unveils a fresh set of jumlas without telling the country what is the fate of its 2014 jumlas. Modi-Shah don't have the courage to speak on why demonetisation was done? What happened to two crore jobs? Why were farmers pushed towards destruction? (sic)," Kejriwal tweeted.
