New Delhi: There has been a big blast on the Sun. This is the largest ever blast since 2017 and NASA has released a video of the same. The blast led to strong solar flare on the Sun's surface on July 3. After the explosion, x-ray rays came towards the earth at the speed of light and hit the upper part of our atmosphere. This led to a shortwave radio blackout in the Atlantic Ocean and its coastal areas.

According to reports, it was the largest fireworks display in the universe in the last 4 years. The video released by NASA in which you can see large scale solar flares emanating from the upper right part of the sun. Solar flare is also called solar storm, which originates from black spots of the Sun. According to officials at the US Space Weather Prediction Centre, the black spots were built overnight. It has been named AR2838 and the incident has been treated as a X-1 class programme. Astronomer Dr. Tony Phillips says, "This sunspot became as if the clouds were suddenly moving in the clear sky. Till a day ago, the sunspot did not exist and no such solar activity was expected. 'There is a possibility of more such solar storms...' he further wrote on Spaceweather.com.
Solar storms emanate from black spots:-
According to NASA, the dark spots in the sun emit a lot of energy. This energy looks like a flame called a solar storm. The explosion of solar storms and one of the largest explosive cases in the division, which lasts for a few minutes to hours. According to reports, AR2838 the sunspot disappeared as fast as it was made. On July 4, the sunspot moved to the northwestern part of the sun. It will go further away in the next 2 weeks.
