Raipur: An explosion occurred in the fuel tank of a steel plant located in Raigad district of Chhattisgarh, injuring 4 people. The condition of two of these people is very critical. On giving information, the police said that the accident happened on Wednesday evening when the victims were cutting an old diesel tank with a gas cutter. Police officials of Raigad district said on Thursday that four workers scorched in the accident on Wednesday in the scrapyard of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd located in the Patrapal area of the district, two of which are in critical condition.

The police have received information that all the four contract workers were cutting scrap from the gas cutter of the welding machine in the scrap yard. During this, there was a blast in the diesel tank kept there, which caused all the scorches. He said that after receiving information about the incident, other employees and officials of the plant arrived at the scene and they evicted the workers from there and admitted them to the nearby hospital. It is being told that the condition of two of the injured is critical, who have been referred to the capital Raipur for treatment. Two workers have suffered minor injuries in this accident, whose treatment is being done at Fortis Hospital.
