Mumbai: In order to gain control over the growing cases of covid and to increase the number of testing, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced the free covid test in Mumbai. To encourage people to test covid and ease the test, BMC has set up 244 centres for testing free covid in 24 wards. According to the information received, free testing has started from November 2. With the introduction of these new covid testing centers, the number of corona testing centers in the state has crossed 300. Initially, this facility will be available from 10 am to 12 noon. In these, RTPCR is available in some centers and antigen test facility is available in some places.

For the free inquiry, helpline number 1916 issued by BMC. In addition to this, further assistance can be availed in this regard. In addition to these testing centers, senior citizens can also test covid in private labs and hospitals. According to the data released by BMC, on November 1, 908 new cases of covid were reported in Mumbai, after which the number of active cases has increased to 18026.

The recovery rate in the city is 89%. From October 25 to October 31, the rate of covid infection in the city is increasing by 0.41 percent. There are still 584 content zones in Mumbai. There are both chawls and slums in them. At the same time, the number of sealed buildings is 7,265. Talking to the media, the doctor of the hospital, Bharesh Dedhia said that more tests are the only way to control the spread of the virus. He said that Corona virus epidemic can be prevented from spreading through testing tracing and treatment.
