Dehradun: The work of removing debris from the tunnel in Tapovan has continued for the third day on Tuesday. The debris was removed here all the night. Dodger faced difficulties in clearing debris due to the arrival of barrels inside the tunnel. Due to which the ITBP soldiers cut the corrugations and worked the way inside the tunnel.

The Ministry of Geology of Garhwal College, Srinagar has also started studying the causes of flood in Niti Valley. A team from the department has left. Whereas a team led by Senior Professor Dr HC Nainwal of the Ministry is going to leave after a few days. Prof. of Garhwal University Nanwal and his team have been studying the condition of glaciers at Satopanth, the originating site of the Alaknanda River, for the past 15 years. For about 5 years, he is also collecting data of Rajbank Glacier in Kosa Valley of Chamoli district. This area is adjacent to the disaster-affected area of Rishi Ganga.

CM Trivendra Singh Rawat of Uttarakhand went to ITBP Hospital in Joshimath to meet the people rescued and asked about their well being. After leaving the place, CM Rawat said that the 12 injured who have been admitted to this hospital of ITBP are fine. He said that there is a lot of pain in the body, doctors said that it will be cured gradually. I am going to contact those 360 families who have been cut off from the district due to the collapse of the bridge. He also said that this strategy has been made that work can be taken from (tunnel) 2 machines so that people can be rescued quickly. There is a possibility of 30-35 people being trapped inside the tunnel, trying to reach them. With which the Chief Minister has left the helicopter for the aerial survey of the accident.
