Meerut, Today, body of a 40-year-old woman, wife of a veterinary doctor, was found in a field in Parikshitgarh police station area here. 

Police officials said, that “the incident occurred yesterday noon when the woman went to the field to collect fodder for livestock. After she did not return till evening, her relatives and villagers began a search, only to find her body lying in the field”. 

It looks like that the woman was murdered after being throttled and the body of the woman also carried finger marks on her neck. 

An FIR has been registered against unknown persons, based on the complaint of the family members of the deceased. 

The body has been sent for postmortem and investigation has been initiated.
