Bengaluru: The Commercial Tax Department of Karnataka is launching a set of 20 documentaries pertaining to the latest GST standards as part of its ongoing and persistent efforts to raise awareness among taxpayers.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai launched the first set of five films relevant to the updated GST guidelines published by the Commercial Taxes Department on Friday as part of his ongoing efforts to raise awareness among taxpayers.

The first five documentaries, according to an official statement from the Chief Minister's Office, detail the supply of restaurant services through e-Commerce operators, communication between taxpayers on the GSTN portal, GST on apartment maintenance charges, the procedure for claiming ITC refund on exports, and the CTD Karnataka website.

The Karnataka government's Commercial Taxes Department is publishing a series of 20 documentaries on the issue. The following films will address concerns such as fraudulent dealers' misuse of PAN cards, CTD Helpdesk, and other issues that dealers confront, according to the release. During the inauguration, Bommai stated that traders will be better able to comply with the GST law if they have a better understanding of the law.
