According to the news received, Pritam Bansiyar, a resident of Rugdi of Chauka police station area under Seraikela district, was killed by his girlfriend Purnima Devi with Dauli (iron weapon) while sleeping during the night. Thereafter, the woman fled from there. On being informed about the matter, the police reached the spot and inspected the spot. When the police inquired, it came to know that the woman with whom the deceased was living is missing. Thereafter, the police raided and arrested Purnima Devi, the girlfriend of the deceased, from Patpur in Ichagarh police station area at her house. At the same time, the police sent the body to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Chandil SDPO Sanjay Kumar Singh said that even after getting married, Pritam Bansiyar was living with girlfriend Purnima Devi in ​​Rugdi, Chauka. For a few days, girlfriend Purnima Devi wanted to leave her lover Pritam and go back to her husband Mangal Singh Munda, which Pritam was opposing. Enraged by this, Poornima Devi killed Pritam while sleeping with a heavy iron weapon. Police has arrested Purnima Devi. SDPO Sanjay Kumar Singh told that Poornima is being sent to jail.
