Mumbai: Cases of passengers falling while boarding moving train in mumbai, the country's economic capital, are coming to light everyday. One such case has come to light from Borivali railway station. Here, a passenger fell on the platform while getting off a speeding train. Then the RPF constable present there cautiously grabbed his hand and pulled him away and saved his life.
According to information received from Borivali RPF, the incident took place at 11:45 pm on June 29. The passenger was travelling by Golden Temple Express (02904). As soon as the train reached platform no. 7 of Borivali station, its speed slowed down a bit. The passenger thought he could get down from the moving train. He then stood at the door and as soon as he placed his first leg on the platform, his balance was disturbed and fell into the gap of the platform. Seeing him falling into the gap, RPF constable Vineet Kumar, who was posted there, ran and grabbed his hand and pulled him out.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV camera installed at the railway station. The vigilance of constable Vineet Kumar, who was on alert in the middle of the night, is now being appreciated by all. Borivali RPF has also called for felicitation of him.
