After Laal Singh Chaddha and Rakshabandhan, now Alia Bhatt’s Darlings called for Boycott. One of the most awaited movies of the year Alia Bhatt’s darlings is in big trouble as various social media users are calling for the Boycott of Alia Bhatt’s Darlings and accusing her of promoting domestic violence.

Recently the trailer of Alia Bhatt’s Darlings is released. Some people are praising Alia meanwhile a section of social media users trolling her for promoting Domestic Violence. Speaking about the trailer it shows Alia’s character beating her husband with a pan, throwing water on his face, thrusting his face inside a tank full of water, thrashing him left-right, and center, and making constant plans to not kill him but treat him ‘exactly how he treated her. The actress is taking revenge on her husband and is treating him in the same way he treated her.

This doesn’t go well with the social media user and the called Alia Bhatt Amber Heard of India. One  user wrote, “Even men are the victims of domestic abuse and in no world, we shall normalize that.” Another wrote, “#BoycottAliaBhatt who is endorsing DV on Men. Imagine if the genders were reversed!. One user wrote, “put a stop on India’s Amber Heard.”

One user also wrote, “ Guys be careful when you watch the movie Darlings with your family or girlfriend. As you might be the best partner for your wife/ girlfriend, But movies like Darlings may end up teaching your female partner to secretly physically abuse you in the future.”

Darlings is a dark comedy. The film features Alia Bhatt in the role of a domestic abuse survivor named Badrunissa Shaikh, alongside Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew among others. Just a day before the film’s release on the OTT platform, Boycott Alia Bhatt is trending.
