MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court received a bomb threat call, official said on Wednesday. The police control room in Maharashtra received a call from Bihar at around 5.45 pm on Tuesday, official said.

What the caller said is read as under: 'I have paid money and my work is not being done. So I kept a bomb in the high court." 

Teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and Pundalik Nagar Police Station reached at the high court building after receiving the information and conducted a thorough check. He added that nothing unusual was discovered.

The teams searched the building's two floors, its rear area, and the parking lot for the high court, the official said, adding that no offence had been reported in connection with this.

A fake bomb threat call claiming there was a bomb in the workplace premises was also received on Monday by Google's Pune headquarters in a related incident. Following the contact, the company's Pune city office was briefly placed on alert.

The individual who allegedly made the call while intoxicated has been located and arrested in Hyderabad.
After being informed, Mumbai Police made contact with their Pune counterparts, who dispatched a team to the office of the multinational technology company in Pune. When the police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad arrived, they conducted thorough searches but turned up nothing unusual.

"The office, located on the 11th floor of a multi-story commercial building in Pune's Mundhwa area, received a call late Sunday night that a bomb was kept in the office premises," Deputy Commissioner of Police  said.

A caller was detained by police. He has been identified as Hyderabad-born Panayam Shivanand. Google filed a complaint with the Mumbai BKC police station.

A complaint has been opened by the BKC Police against the caller in accordance with IPC Sections 505(1)(b) and 506(2). The matter is currently the subject of more study.
