Chandrapur: 1 laborer was killed and 17 others were injured when a vehicle carrying them overturned in Hyderabad's, an official said today, January 28.

The vehicle was carrying at least 30 labourers from Chhattisgarh to Hyderabad when it overturned on the Virur-Dhanora route at 5 a.m. today, according to an official.

The injured have been taken to Rajura Rural Hospital in Chandrapur for treatment. "The number of injured persons may rise," added the official.

According to the official, a team from Virur police station Chandrapur arrived at the scene after receiving information about the mishap.

"Labourers who sustained critical injuries in the accident were transferred to the district hospital," a source familiar with the situation said. More information is awaited.
