In Uttarakhand, "the road near Pipalkoti on the Badrinath National Highway faced a blockage due to a massive pile-up of debris on Tuesday", as reported by officials. Chamoli police took to Twitter to share visuals from the spot, revealing the extent of the debris obstructing the road.

In a tweet, Chamoli Police stated, "The road is blocked due to debris from a hill near Pipalkoti on the Badrinath National Highway." As of now, further information is yet to be provided.

Adding to the concerns, on Monday, the Chungi Badethi tunnel on the Gangotri National Highway in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, faced potential damage following landslides in the surrounding area. This situation has raised alarms among the authorities. District Disaster Management Officer, Devendra Patwal, confirmed that the relevant authorities have been notified about the safety of the tunnel.
