A year ago Bret Hart announced that he was fighting with prostate cancer. Now he say's he is 100 percent free from cancer.

In an interview, Hart said that early diagnosis was the key to his successful surgery last February. “The Hitman" added that his brother, Smith Hart, had experienced a much more difficult path after a later diagnosis, as his cancer had spread to his hip.

"If you've got prostate cancer, if you don't catch it early, you could die from it. And if you catch it early, you can live a pretty normal life,” he said in his interview. "I would say I'm pretty close to normal."

On Feb. 1, 2016, Hart said he is fighting from prostate cancer. Hart said that the surgery was successful.

Hart is still taking care of himself to make sure that cancer doesn't come back.
