London: United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Sunday that the lockdown implemented in the country due to the coronavirus would not end immediately. In Britain, the lockdown has been extended until 1 June. He said that the government is considering some schemes to make the lockdown easier.

In a TV address, the British PM said, "This week the lockdown cannot be lifted, instead we are taking preliminary precautionary measures to modify the measures". Boris Johnson said that those who cannot work from home will be allowed to go to office from Monday. He also said that people will be able to go out for activities like exercise and sports from Wednesday, but only when social distancing will be followed.

Security tightened in Britain, stay home alert

He said, 'You can sit in the sun in your local park, you can drive to any other place, you can also play games but only with your family members.' Boris Johnson put in place a five-level alert system that the government would use to monitor and track the rate of spread of the virus using scientific data, called the 'R' rate.
