The BSP candidate told that this attack took place on Wednesday night, February 5, 2020, when he was returning home from an election-related meeting. According to the victim Narayan Dutt Sharma, a dozen people from several vehicles attacked him. He also suffered a head injury in this attack. It is also being said that the BSP candidate has held the opponents responsible for this attack, although he has not named anyone. He also told that "Only those people against whom I am contesting elections have carried out this attack."
