Patna: BSP Supremo and former UP CM Mayawati has attacked Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for playing a Dalit card in the wake of the upcoming assembly elections. Mayawati said, "The Nitish government in Bihar is trying to lure Dalit and tribal votes in their court".

Mayawati wrote in a tweet, "The present government is trying to lure the ST/SC people by giving them false hopes and making false promises. While during their tenure they never took cognizance of their situation and problems. If the present government of Bihar was so concerned about the interests of these sections, why did the government did nothing to solve the issues? While they should have learnt a lot from the BSP government in this case. Therefore, these sections are requested not to be deceived by the Nitish government".

CM Nitish Kumar has played a Dalit card ahead of the Bihar elections. He has directed the officers to provide government jobs to a member of the family in the case of the killing of a person coming from SC, ST category. Nitish's order is seen as a step to woo the Dalit-tribal community ahead of the election.
