HYDERABAD:Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has said that the state government is implementing an action plan to spread the  noble teachings of Gautam Buddha worldwide from Telangana by reviving the old Buddhist temples spread in different parts of Telangana

KCR said that the propagation of Buddhism on Telangana soil is a matter of pride for all as he understood that the roots of Telangana's social life and culture are deeply embedded in Buddhism.

The Buddhist sites  called "Aramas" erected on the banks of Godavari  and rivers and dating back thousands of years, are the proof of the spread of Buddhism in Telangana. The Chief Minister said that the state government's "Buddhavanam," which was created at NagarjunaSagar to meet international standards, draws visitors from all over the world.

On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, also known as the birth anniversary (Jayanti) of Gautam Buddha, the Chief Minister sent greetings to the populace. He said that Gautama Buddha's teachings will enable humanity to live in perfect harmony with nature, love, compassion, and nonviolence, all of which are essential in today's society.

He  said it is an honour for every Indian to reside on the continent where Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago, first preached the great lessons of peaceful cooperation to all of humanity. He noted that the anti-discrimination and anti-hate teachings of Lord Buddha, who spoke out against hatred and discrimination based on things like race, gender, and caste, are timeless. As long as there is human civilization, the teachings of the Buddha will be applicable.

The chief minister said that the government is working to guarantee that Telangana residents live happily in all spheres. By putting into practise the programmes designed to advance all groups of people, including SC, ST, BC, minorities, women, the poor, etc., regardless of caste, colour, or religion, the state government is carrying out Lord Buddha's wishes.
