Chandigarh: Rakhi Garhi, the historical city of the Indus Valley Civilization, is now going to get international recognition. On the other hand, this area, spread over an area of about five and a half 500 acres, situated in Narnaund light in Hisar district, boasts of Harappan history. The central government is going to develop this Rakhi Garhi as a world-class archaeological site. At the same time, it was announced on the last Saturday i.e. 1 February 2020 in the Union Government's General Budget. Under this, five archeological sites will be developed as model sites with local museums across the country. In which Rakhi Garhi area of Haryana is also one. Apart from this, five other archaeological sites include Hastinapur in Uttar Pradesh, Sivasagar in Assam, Dhaulavira in Gujarat and Adichanallur in Tamil Nadu.

At the same time it is also being said that the central government will now develop Rakhi Garhi as archaeological sites and on-sites museum. This project will increase tourism in this area and it will also increase employment opportunities for local villagers. At the same time, it has been learned that it is noteworthy that there are many tills in Rakhi Garhi area, where the archeology department keeps digging. Many remains and human skeletons of thousands of years old Harappan civilization have also been found from here.

The state government is also making a museum, the help of the center is icing on the cake: According to the information received, the Haryana government is building a museum in this area at a cost of about 25 crores. About two years ago, the work of building a museum started in this area. Which will be completed this year. The museum is being built in a modern way. Rest houses, hostels and a café are also being constructed in it. In such a situation, now the help of the central government in making Rakhi Garhi a world class archeology and tourist destination will work like 'gold on icing'.

The government hopes to increase revenue-employment from Rakhi Garhi: While we tell you, Haryana Government is very excited by this announcement of the Central Government. The government is hopeful that the development of Rakhigarhi can increase the revenue of the state. CM Manohar Lal termed it as a great gift for the state and said that with the decision taken in the general budget, Rakhigarhi will not only get international recognition, but also increase the revenue of the state by developing it as a tourist destination.
