Market Updates: In early trade on Tuesday, the rupee rose 20 paise to 74.45 against the US dollar, boosted by strong domestic equities. However, due to rising crude oil prices, the rupee's rise was limited.

Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister, is currently delivering the Union Budget for 2022-23 in Parliament.

The rupee opened at 74.53 versus the dollar on the interbank foreign exchange, then edged higher to 74.45, a gain of 20 paise from the previous finish.

The rupee had finished at 74.65 against the greenback in the previous session. Investors' attention is now focused on the Union Budget for the coming fiscal year, which will reveal borrowing amounts and a fiscal glide path.
