Bus collapses in a deep ditch in Uttarakhand, 45 killed, many injured

A gruesome bus accident happened in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Garhwal motor users were caught on the bus accident near a village on Pipulhodhan motorway, which falls in the Nainidanda block of Dhumakot tehsil. In this accident, 45 people died. The death toll is expected to increase. On the spot, the State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) team of relief and rescue work has been sent from a helicopter. 

The people who were returning from Jagaran were reported that many people have been in this painful accident. The injured people have been admitted to the Dhumakot Community Health Center for treatment. The bus of UK12C-0159 was headed towards Ramnagar from Dhone village at around six in the morning. Jagran was organized in a village in the area. The victims of the accident were returning after attending the ceremony. 

Apart from this, there were people returning back from the bus who had come to the village in the holidays and were going to Ramnagar to catch the bus for Delhi. It is being told that the bus fell about 60 meters below the road and due to the rainy season road was very slippery. Disaster Management Officer of the district, Dipesh Chandra Kala, confirmed the death of 45 people in a bus accident. The accident happened around 8:45 am Sunday morning. 

Some passengers had to catch the bus from Ramnagar to Delhi. It is being told that more than 50 people were boarding the bus. SDRF (State Disaster Relief Force) and police teams have been dispatched for rescue operation on the spot. Local people are also supporting in the rescue operation.

According to the eyewitnesses, after being uncontrolled, the bus fell into the ditch. After falling into a rainy drain about 100 meters below the road, the bus broke into two pieces. Later the bodies trapped have been taken out of the bus with the help of villagers. Many people have been seriously injured in the accident.
